On July 29, 2020, the "Jiangxi Province Anti-epidemic Themed Art Works Exhibition and Jiangxi Province Art Museum Unveiling Ceremony" hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and undertaken by the Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum was held at the Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum. Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum Unveiled, Jiangxi Province Anti-epidemic Themed Art Works Exhibition Opened

The purpose of this exhibition is to implement General Secretary Jinping’s important instructions on the work of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, take the initiative to play the role of artistic propaganda and guidance, and fully demonstrate the firm belief of the people of the whole country to fight the epidemic under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee. The advanced figures and touching stories that have emerged from various industries promote the main theme and spread positive energy, so as to accelerate the construction of a culturally strong province and draw a new picture of Jiangxi's reform and development in the new era. From the over 4,000 art works on the anti-epidemic theme created in the province, 245 pieces were selected through preliminary selection and re-evaluation, covering traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, gouache, ceramics, calligraphy, seal cutting, etc. As well as various art forms such as sand painting, cartoons, paper-cutting, peasant paintings, propaganda posters, etc., they are divided into: people first, life first; white clothes holding armour, retrograde expedition; people's will, all invincible; resume work and production, orderly restart; no Five chapters: Negative Commons and Spring Blossoms.

The reorganization of the Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum is an important decision and a major measure made by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government on accelerating the construction of a culturally strong province under the new historical conditions. The newly established Provincial Art Museum has changed the backward status of provincial art museums in our province. The building area has reached the national first-class art museum standard, and has leapt to the forefront of the country. In the next step, the Provincial Art Museum will be built into a non-profit art museum integrating exhibition, collection, research, education, communication, service and other functions, and become an important cultural window and display platform for prosperity, beauty, and happiness in modern Jiangxi.

From now on, the exhibition will last until August 18, 2020. The public can visit the exhibition for free. Due to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, the exhibition hall is regularly disinfected every day, and the visitors of the exhibition are required to scan the code to measure the temperature and wear masks throughout the process.
